From the Andes of Colombia comes the unique and versatile tradition of La Chamba cookware. Used for centuries in South American kitchens, these handcrafted pieces offer years of cooking and serving pleasure, with origins dating back over 700 years.
Safe for use on the stovetop, in the oven, microwave, under the grill, over direct gas, on the barbecue, and even on an open fire, La Chamba is designed for everyday versatility. Dishwasher safe.
Each piece is moulded by hand from coarse dark grey clay and finished with a fine terracotta glaze, making natural variations in colour and shape part of its handcrafted charm.
Care Instructions:
Before first use, wash with mild detergent, fill ¾ with water, and heat in the oven for 30 minutes at 200°C to seal. Wooden utensils are recommended to prevent scratching. While dishwasher safe, hand washing is advised to preserve La Chamba’s natural patina.
