Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp instant yeast

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cup warm milk

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • 2 tbsp matcha powder (sifted using your Sift)

  • Extra flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.

  2. Slowly add warm milk and melted butter. Stir to form a sticky dough (your hands or a mixer work!).

  3. Divide dough in half. In one half, knead in the sifted matcha powder until fully incorporated.

  4. Shape both doughs into balls. Place in separate greased bowls, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  5. Roll each dough ball into rectangles, layer them, and roll up tightly to form a swirl.

  6. Line your Loaf Pan with Parchment and place the swirl loaf inside.

  7. Cover and proof for another 45 minutes.

  8. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.

  9. Cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy warm or toasted!

Soft, slightly sweet, and uniquely flavored, your matcha swirl loaf is ready to impress.
