Ingredients
-
3 cups all-purpose flour
-
2 tsp instant yeast
-
3 tbsp sugar
-
1 tsp salt
-
1 cup warm milk
-
2 tbsp melted butter
-
2 tbsp matcha powder (sifted using your Sift)
-
Extra flour for dusting
Instructions
-
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
-
Slowly add warm milk and melted butter. Stir to form a sticky dough (your hands or a mixer work!).
-
Divide dough in half. In one half, knead in the sifted matcha powder until fully incorporated.
-
Shape both doughs into balls. Place in separate greased bowls, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
-
Roll each dough ball into rectangles, layer them, and roll up tightly to form a swirl.
-
Line your Loaf Pan with Parchment and place the swirl loaf inside.
-
Cover and proof for another 45 minutes.
-
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
-
Cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy warm or toasted!
Soft, slightly sweet, and uniquely flavored, your matcha swirl loaf is ready to impress.
